Moreover, we will also include trainers from the education and organizing program, regional leaders based in Karenni camp (2), Mae Lar Oo camp, near Mae Seriang, and Bakalaw refugee camp that is near Mae Sot.
Some of the 7 executive committee members will be in the training as well. Trainings topics include leadership skills from a feminist perspective, feminist theories, using feminist approaches for democratic facilitation skills, and exploring how the concept of feminism can be of use to individuals, the organization, the community, and in the long term, to Burma. Ultimately we hope that after their experiences and learning from the training, leaders and trainers should be able to think realistically and reasonably to apply the democratic leadership skills, facilitations with gender sensitivity.
